Reflections
The National Reflections Art Program encourages students of all ages to unleash creative talents and be inspired, to express themselves imaginatively in their artwork, to experience the fun and joy of making art, to tap into critical-thinking skills to create art inspired by the annual theme and to receive positive recognition for their original works of art. Senior Awards
Senior Film Making Scholarship

Create a short film that will stay in the Lynbrook vaults forever! The theme is “Viking Wisdom”. Your film will not only earn you a scholarship, but will be showcased to the incoming Lynbrook students and families.

Prizes will be :

$1000 for the best movie
$500 for the second and third best.

Basic Requirements:

Video with a length between 3:30 and 5:00 minutes
Using the theme of “Viking Wisdom”, create, direct and produce a film which focuses on your experiences at Lynbrook High School. The hope is you can provide a valuable insight to those that will follow in your path on the road to completion of the high school experience.
The film must be shot and produced primarily by the submitting student. However, inclusion of other students, staff, community members, and families of Vikings may and can be utilized.
The content of the film must be original to this film challenge and not previously used in any other contest, used as a completed assignment, or entered into any student or professional film competitions.

The film can be shot as a fictional story, a non-fiction mini- documentary, an animation short, a series of stills, stop-motion, silent film, or any other creative way you can concoct. Simply put, in your own words and visions, how can you share with others the idea of revisiting your experiences and decisions?
At least one member of the student’s family must be a PTSA member to participate. (Note: It is never too late to become a member! Membership envelopes can be found in the front office and on our LHS website/PTSA webpage)

Deadline:

All completed films need to be completed and submitted on a flash drive to the College & Career Center by Monday, April 20, 2020. Include a cover sheet with your name, film title, and email address.
